LBI Home & Building Inspection is here to serve you with your inspection and consultation needs. LBI provides comprehensive, educational home and building inspections and related services for home and building purchasers, sellers and owners, Realtors, mortgage institutions, architects, and insurance companies. Our clients not only become properly equipped with the knowledge to make informed decisions regarding property evaluation, sale and purchase; but also learn how to properly operate and maintain their property.
Why hire an inspector who’s services merely meet Licensing and Certification minimum requirements, and focus upon protecting your contractual needs by identifying deficiencies and concerns? For or the same investment you can participate in an LBI Education Inspection which in addition to providing you with a comprehensive report, also teaches you all about the property, answers your questions, and provides a report created to serve as an informative manual similar to what is in the glove box of your vehicle.

Not only must an Inspector be properly licensed or certified within the areas served; the inspector you choose should have additional qualifications and years of professional experience. Belonging to related associations such as the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Virginia Association of Real Estate Inspectors (VAREI), the West Virginia Association of Home Inspectors (WVAHI), and the Maryland Association of Home Inspectors (MDAHI), helps insure clients that the inspector they select performs to higher standards, strives to stay on top of construction, environmental, and building technologies, legal requirements, and professional standards as they all evolve. Belonging, participating and volunteering within this arena, serving in leadership positions, and contributing to related legislative activities, can further indicate an inspector not only strives to improve individual abilities, but also strives to improve value to the consumer.
The higher the qualifications and experience an inspector has, along with the provision of enhanced service, not only improves the value of what clients receive, but also help to raise the bar of the inspection profession.

Philosophically, serving clients most economically and helping people is LBI’s mission, operating a successful business is a secondary concern
Building owners, and most specifically, homeowners need to understand how to most efficiently operate and maintain their home, its systems, and appliances. The foundation of this knowledge is understanding its construction, configuration and the relationships within the environment in which it resides. Proper operation affects energy efficiency, and respective heating and cooling costs. Effective maintenance helps lower repair costs, and preserve the value of one’s investment. LBI’s philosophy of educating clients and serving as an everlasting resource helps lower operation and maintenance costs; it helps reduce the expense of repairs, and can delay needed replacements.
Clients’ needs vary… Aside from providing numerous types of inspections, LBI assists potential clients in assessing their purpose in order to help determine their needs. The degree, scope, and format of service may then be customized to best and most economically to fulfill these needs. Accordingly, in addition to providing a broad scope of “complete” inspection reports, at times partial or specialized, reports, and/or consultation services may best and most economically fulfill these needs.
At times expanding the degree of service initially requested may better meet client needs once the full scope of concerns have been assessed. LBI will never attempt to increase the scope or degree of service provided based upon financial gain.
On occasion potential client needs may not merit LBI service; or, may require more specialized expertise than LBI chooses to provide. In such case LBI again educates the client about the matter at hand, and may refer them to a specific provider, or at the very least, point them in the right direction.
Speaking w/ Mr. Londner of LBI, I was provided information as well as guidance and instruction over the phone.
Their response to my email request said they could provide the service for a fee, but they offered to prevent a fee, by having a telephone conversation.
Most today would have charged me several hundred dollars for a visit even if it wasn't needed, but LBI offered to resolve my issue over the phone with no fee.
That's pretty solid.
If and when I need inspection and engineering services in the future, this will be my first call.
